Description

Morindo citrifolio has long been claimed to be an alternative to modern medicine in the treatment of diobetes mellitus. Among the local Malays, Javanese and Sundanese, the ripe fruit wastraditionally consumed by diabetic patients to control blood sugar level. This study was carried out to verify the hypoglyiaemic property and its possible effect on insulin secretion.
